St. Augustine Beach Pier & Splash Park

After being a Mamma for 13+ years, I’ve learned the art of give & take.

The kiddos gave a good morning of school & some time wondering around the Wednesday farmers market, so I took a break and let them play at the splash park!

St. Augustine’s Splash Park at the Pier is just one of the things that draws families to this part of St. Augustine Beach.  At this 4 acre park, you’ll find a fishing pier, volleyball courts, covered pavilions & live music on Wednesday nights {through the summer- check my what to do in St. Augustine page to see a smattering of other to-do’s}.  The Splash Park offers a break for Mammas and children- thank you, St. Johns County!

Water squirts up on the Splash pad and cool breezes blow in off the ocean.  Our family doesn’t swim at the beach this close to the pier- the water comes up to the rocks at high tide and if it’s rough, it can be a little dangerous so close to pier pilings. So the Splash Park allows the kids to play in the water and stay safe.  And what a view!

Our little ones love the playground.  Sand toys are put to good use as all the kiddos work together to dig holes to china and build castles as high as the clouds {or at least Mamma’s knees…}.

The St. Augustine Splash Park offers one more reason to love lazy summer days in St. Augustine!!!!
