10 Days: Head into Historic St. Augustine

Simply St.Augustine is counting down the 12 days ’til Christmas!  You can read 12 ways I’m celebrating Christmas in St. Augustine starting with this 12 Days ’til Christmas post!

It’s our Christmas Countdown and today I’m headed into Old Town for our family day!  There is so much to do here- I’ll jot down what we’re planning for today (say hi if you see us!) and you can share YOUR favorites in the comments!

10 Days ’til Christmas: Wonder around Old Town

Today we are touring St. Augustine with my hubby’s great aunt & uncle.  These are some things on our party-of-10’s agenda:

  • Lightner Museum {It’s free for locals so we can be there as long as the children tolerate and then not feel bad about leaving the rest for another day!}
  • Lunch at Cafe Alcazar {the kids will share their generous sandwiches} or maybe A1A Ale Works if Uncle wants a view of the water
  • Some play time in the plaza- family pictures under the decorated tree
  • Maybe pop in to the Spanish Military Museum {free for locals, I think} to explore a new place.
  • A sweet treat from one of my favorites: Claude’s, Bon Ami, Hyppo or Cafe del Hidalgo
  • Some shopping in favorite local shops
  • Dinner somewhere in here… maybe Pizzalley’s for an easy pizza dinner or The Floridian for a fun, farm-fresh meal
  • Nights of Lights Trolley to take in the lights (not so much walking this way!)

Who knows what else will get thrown in the mix…
