St. Augustine Chocolate

Nothing says “I love you” to me like really good chocolate.  Fortunately, I live in a city rich with options: handmade chocolates, frozen hot chocolate, chocolate ice cream, chocolate croissants, chocolate Chocolate CHOCOLATE… no wonder I love St. Augustine!

Everyone has their favorites- these are a few of mine.  If I left out YOUR favorite chocolate shop in St. Augustine, comment below and I’ll add it to the list!

• Claude’s Chocolate makes the most amazing truffles from the best ingredients!  He is my favorite chocolatier.  Ever.  And his wife is super “sweet’ too!  The best deal at Claude’s is the sampler- you choose 4 truffles and a piece of bark for $3.50.
• Bistro de Leon prepares fresh-baked chocolate croissants every Saturday and Sunday.  Do whatever you can to get one!  I like mine warm.  Delish.
• Whetstones is a local chocolate “factory”.  They sell fudge, chocolates and offer chocolate tours.  I’ve heard their frozen hot chocolate is amazing- it’s on my list to try soon!
• Tour de Chocolate  St. Augustine is home to many food tours.  The company that started it all is City Walks- and their Tour de Chocolate is a great way to taste the best chocolate dishes around town!
• Kilwins makes fudge right before your eyes at their store halfway down St. George Street.
• Fudge Buckets is another local fudge shop- on Charlotte St.  Offering flavors from traditional {chocolate} to outrageous {sangria!}, if fudge is your love, this is your place!
