6/9 Free Admission to the Castillo
The National Park Service offers free admission to the Castillo de San Marcos a few times a year- this Saturday is one of them! Question soldiers dressed in period costume, witness cannon firings and explore one of the oldest structures in the US!
6/8 – 6/10 Big Fat Greek Festival
We all know how much Greeks love to eat… and the Greek Orthodox Church’s Big Fat Greek Food Festival is the place to try some greek food! You’ll also find children’s rides & games, dancing and a Greek cooking demonstration Saturday afternoon at 3:00. 2940 CR 214 (W. Kings St.)
6/13 Music by the Sea
The St. Augustine Beach Civic Association sponsors the free concert series, Music by the Sea, every Wednesday night from now through September 26. Each week, a local restaurant offers a meal priced under $10 for an easy picnic under the stars. This week, enjoy Zaharia’s Restaurant with your classic Rock & Roll/Blues.
6/14 Concert in the Plaza
Bring a blanket or some chairs and enjoy music in St. Augustine’s town square! This week, Big Pineapple is playing some Hawaiian style jazz starting at 7:00. The city sponsors weekly Concerts in the Plaza through the summer- last concert is Labor Day.
Farmers Markets
Don’t forget St. Augustine’s 3 weekly Farmers Markets. Wednesday at the Pier (St. Augustine Beach), Saturday is Old City Farmers Market at the Ampitheatre & North Beach Arts Market at Vilano Beach (3-7 p.m. 3721 State Road A1A). Sunday is Lincolnville Farmers Market. Go Local! Shop for produce raised here on the First Coast.
