Kilwin’s Ice Cream

The sign says “Kilwin’s Chocolates, Fudge, Ice Cream”.  So why am I skipping fudge and going straight to ice cream?  Easy.  I don’t like fudge.  🙂

Last night, after Drake’s Raid at the Plaza, Daddy O. offered ice cream or popsicles to our kiddos and Kilwin’s won the popular vote!

Don’t be scared off by a long line when you walk in- it usually moves pretty quickly.  We ordered a root beer float, 2 superman kids cones {$3.50 each}, 2 Georgia Peach kids cones and 2 toasted coconut kids cones.  Mamma ordered the piece de resistance… Toasted Coconut in a freshly baked Waffle Cone {$4.50}!!  I’m not a huge ice cream fan… I usually go for cookies or chocolates.  But Kilwin’s Toasted Coconut is delish!!

If you decide to pick up some treats to go, Kilwin’s dipped apples are great and the chocolate dipped pretzel rods are pretty amazing, too.  Oh, and the dark chocolate dipped graham crackers.  Yum.  {But if you’re in the mood for truffles or specialty chocolates… walk over to Claude’s.}

There are 2 Kilwin’s on St. George Street.  So, if you pass one, don’t worry- you’ll have another chance on the other end of the street!
