Mi Casa Cafe for Music, Cold Beer, Sandwiches

In the heart of St. Augustine, Mi Casa Cafe serves up live music, cold beer and quality sandwiches. Way back before I started Simply St. Augustine, our friend Seth took us to Mi Casa for the music. He’s a musician and insisted that some of the best live music in town is always at Mi Casa. He is right. Over the years, we’ve been back again and again for beer & sangrias on the patio but it’s always been a stop on the way to dinner. Lauren and I ate at Mi Casa Cafe last week for the first time… wanna know how it was? Read on…

Mi Casa Cafe for Lunch

Our girls day out centered around hair appointments so we only had 30 minutes for lunch. Mi Casa Cafe is counter service and we each ordered the first hot sandwich that looked good so we’d be on time. Lauren’s love for Reubens made her lunch order an easy choice. I opted for the Turkey, Bacon, Avocado… and I will certainly be back for it. That Bacon, Turkey & Avocado sandwich lives on in my dreams!

Mi Casa’s Menu is simple but well rounded. Sandwiches. Salads. A few apps. Get ‘er done.

Pet Friendly Patio or AC Inside

We ate inside because it was July. The patio is shaded and is tolerable most of the time… {not at lunchtime in July though!} If you’re traveling with a pet, this is a great option for you!

Since we were inside, we played our own version of Where’s Waldo with the giant map of St. Augustine after we ordered. I Spy a rabbit in a hat… see if you can find it! LOL

This city map captures most local businesses- we had a blast playing I Spy with it! You’re never too old for a good game of I Spy.

Ok- I’ll help you:

Can you find the rabbit in a hat?!

Marnie bought Mi Casa 7 years ago and runs her kitchen with pride. She told us that Thurman’s meats are top quality with low salt and no additives, bread is baked fresh in Jax and the sauerkraut for reubens is imported from Germany! No wonder we enjoyed our sandwiches so much!

Marnie, the owner of Mi Casa, is one fun lady!!

I hear the artichoke dip is crazy good… we’ll try that next time. Mi Casa Cafe serves up live music, cold beer, quality sandwiches- oh, and they have killer crushed ice too. What’s not to love?!
