Ding, Ding, Ding, Goes the Old Town Trolley and So Much More

Our family has been in love with St. Augustine for years playing tourist multiple times each year! This is a Throwback Thursday kind of post highlighting different trips. The Old Town Trolley Tours is one of our favorite ways to take in the city. It circles around town making 25 stops at various points in and around the historical district. My best advice is to take the tour the entire way around first to familiarize your crew with the sights and then make a plan of attack! The trolleys run every 15 minutes or so all day with the last Old Town Trolley leaving from The Old Jail around 4:30.

Old Town Trolley Tours by Day and Ghosts & Gravestones by Night

Old Town Trolleys of St. Augustine has more to offer through the Historic Tours of America than just the trolleys! There’s a nighttime tour to take in the paranormal activity aboard the Ghosts and Gravestones Tours and more. Come join us this week as we take the daytime and nighttime tours! If you dare…

Take the Old Jail tour during the day and see it again at night during the Ghosts & Gravestones Tours! Be sure to book your ghost tour early!

Go to Jail, step back in time, and get Refreshed at Stop #1

At Stop #1, there is much to do for young and old! Spend some time in jail, cool off while taking a step back in time with the amazing antiques in the Oldest Store Museum, and take in a quick bite to eat at Gator Bob’s Trading Post. Then head down the hall to The Florida Heritage Museum (free with an Old Town Trolley Ticket). Before you hop aboard the Old Town Trolley or head out for the day don’t miss the photo opportunities in and around The Old Jail!

One of the many ticket kiosks in and around town with discount attraction tickets or Old Town Trolley Tickets!

150 Wax Figurines Await at Potter’s Wax Museum

Are you baking in the Florida sun or need something to do while the girls are shopping on St. George? Check out Potter’s Wax Museum, the first wax museum in the United States, conveniently located just a few blocks off of St. George Street near the parking garage.

Shh… please don’t tell him I posted this! He is probably taller than most of the figures now.

As with every Summer as long as I can remember, we will be heading out to spend a week playing tourist! Hoping for some blue skies, but will be prepared for some Florida showers. The Old Town Trolleys does have you covered with ponchos and will make sure every trolley rider has one. Some years the kids are too cool to wear them and other years they appreciate them! Rain or shine St. Augustine is still a beautiful place to visit!
