Florida Water Tours offers a family friendly Wildlife and Dolphin Adventure tour in St. Augustine for all ages. Our recent tour set sail at 11:00 am from the Camachee Cove Marina offering a new view of the Vilano Beach bridge. There is plenty of parking and signs everywhere directing you to the dock. Bring your own snacks or lunch if desired and be sure to pack plenty of water and sunscreen. Shade is available, but the best views are in the sun!
Marcel and Mike were excellent tour guides with a laid back and entertaining presentation for the 38 of us on board. The tour is dependent on the wildlife that is observed and may take a different direction depending on the conditions and traffic on the water.
They do ask all guests to join in on helping to locate wildlife and to let them know when something is spotted, so that all can enjoy.
Dolphins, dolphins everywhere!
On this particular tour, we were fortunate to see several dolphins and birds native to the area. However, catching them in a picture is another story! We were so excited it was hard to capture each of them. The tour never seemed rushed! It was all about making the experience enjoyable. We even circled back around to get a better view in some cases.
Are you ready to set sail with Florida Water Tours yet?
One of our highlights of the two-hour tour was seeing the city from a different view. We got up close and personal with the fort and the massive cross at Mission Nombre de Dios.
This was one tour we will be talking about for awhile. Our family looks forward to trying out one of their other tours. Florida Water Tours offers sunset tours, ghost tours, full moon, and a history/dolphin tour. Check out their site for all of the available tours and presale tickets for the Nights of Lights tour are on sale now! Discount offers are available periodically on their website and through other online discount sites.
Not a Three Hour Tour thankfully…
The good news is no one seemed to be seasick nor did we have to rescue a man overboard. According to Marcel, that lifesaver ring may be more than you bargained for if it hits you in the head. Thankfully, our crew got us back to shore safe and sound without it being an ending like the “Three Hour Tour”.
