New construction and new faces coming to St. Augustine! If you haven’t been downtown recently, there’s a lot of changes in and around town. Now is the time to come to town while the crowds are light and see what’s NEW in St. Augustine!
Giggling Gators-closed and is now overflow parking for One Twenty Three Burger House and will eventually house a new stop for breakfast
Le Pavillon-closed and now Uptown Swinery an up and coming new restaurant in town with live music
The Bunnery-the former owners retired and waiting to see what the Prohibition Kitchen owners have planned for this location
City Gates Spirits-new distillery opened near the city gates and the MillTop Tavern (those that have been coming to St. Augustine for a while it’s where the old building used to be near the MillTop that sold the flags and purses)
29Olives-a clothing and accessories shop on St. George Street has now become Sandy Soul featuring Simply Southern and more
Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse Shop-gift shop was torn down along with all of the other buildings behind it (a new gift shop was added on the other side of the school while most of the other shops relocated around the corner under The St. George Inn)
Old Town Trolley Welcome Center-new building opened a few weeks ago in the old location next to Ripley’s Believe it or Not
Potter’s Wax Museum/Oldest Drug Store-a new area where you can see the wax heads being made
Santa Barbara Hospital Museum-a new attraction off St. George Street offering insight into the early Spanish medical practices(haven’t visited but just noticed this new attraction)
St. Augustine Lighthouse-added a new escape room type of adventure called the St. Augustine Lighthouse Side Quest (our family plans to try it out soon)
