You’d better believe we’re counting down!  The advent calendar is filling up and the advent candles are burning down.  We’re celebrating Christ’s birth all month long but the extra fun day {read: presents} is in 12 days!!

Want to count down with me? Go to my Nights of Lights page to see a Christmas Countdown with a different Nights of Lights photo each day!

In this holidays with friends section, I’m sharing something small our family is doing to celebrate Christmas each day between now & the 25th. Take some parenting advice from a mamma of 7… don’t try to do it all alone! Instead, involve the kids and make some imperfect memories together!

As my local readers know, it’s been a bit too yucky for early mornings outside this week. The littles were getting increasingly antsy, so we headed to Burger King on CR210 for some playtime! I spread out my Christmas Card supplies and wrote notes while Lauren (15 now! Happy Birthday Lauren!) addressed & stamped them.

It’s a busy time of year and Christmas cards can feel like “one more thing” to do- but our kids look forward to opening them and seeing pictures of friends near & far.  They pretty much stalk the mailman each day and race out when they see him come. 😉 As we open the cards, we pray for the family who sent them and thank God for our friends! So I figured I owed it to my friends and family to return the favor.

The only local spots I know of with indoor play areas:

If you know of another, comment on this post & I’ll update for everyone to see! 12 days ’til Christmas!
