Families: Try Ripley’s Nights Of Lights Train!!

Ripley’s Nights Of Lights Train has become a favorite family tradition… even our 17 year old asked us to schedule it on a night he could come!

I’m sure you already know that Ripley’s knows how to make a memory inside the crazy museum. Well, they’ve put all their experience into making #NightsOfLights Trains fun for all ages. Instead of the line feeling interminably long, families pass the time by watching a fire dancer, taking photos with Santa, roasting marshmallows and playing in the bubble snow! Ripley’s Red Train is full of surprises and is hands-down the best Nights of Lights tour experience for a family with little ones in St. Augustine!

Ripley's Nights Of Lights Train
“Snow” falls every weekend in December at Ripley’s St. Augustine!

There are plenty of distractions as you wait. You may recognize this fella below… A friendly elf is on hand to help out Santa & Mrs. Claus! He walks around and helps cheer up kiddos as you wait in line.

Ripley's Nights Of Lights Train
Santa’s little elf walked around making littles laugh!

Speaking of passing the time (because little kids waiting in lines is never magical), snow falls at Ripley’s!! The bubble snow won’t leave kids damp but will leave them giggling. There’s a Christmas movie playing on the big screen inside (safe from cool nights!) and a marshmallow roasting station. And then there are the hats. CRAZY hats. Ripley’s is going for a WORLD RECORD of having the largest online album of photos with hats so they have this fun photo station set up for everyone to join in!

Ripley's Nights Of Lights Train
Silly hats and snowfall and roasted marshmallows… Ripley’s knows how to pass the time while waiting for the Nights of Lights train!!

And we can’t leave out our favorite balloon man, Sparky the Clown. He’s really good and so very friendly!!

Ripley's Nights Of Lights Train
Sparky the balloon man whipped up some amazing balloon creations for kids waiting for the next train!

After the train ride around the city, where you’ll sing a few songs and yell MERRY CHRISTMAS! to every pedestrian you pass, you can stop by the face-painting tent to make the magic last a little bit longer.

Making memories is always a great use of time… have fun making your St. Augustine Christmas memories with Ripley’s this year!

Merry Christmas!!

    Hi Allie,
As a new resident of this area, I am enjoying your blog! This is my first Night of Light’s experience and I want to do it all!~ I was there for the first night of light’s, have been coming every few days. I just cannot get enough of this amazing city.
You have given me insight into options I wasn’t aware of and it’s appreciated. ( Gotta say, the Boston thing threw me until I realized it was vacay:))
There is so much to do and it’s helpful to hear from you what else is available.
Don’t know if you have addressed the Spanish Military Hospital Museum but I’ve been there twice and it’s fascinating.
I have the Red Train Holly Jolly tour on my list and will be taking a total of 4. I can’t wait to experience this and share it with others. It’s interesting how many people I’ve met who don’t realize, or maybe just haven’t taken the opportunity, to enjoy what’s right here.
    Thank you so much,

That sounds like a wonderful way to enjoy the Holiday. We visit the area from Gainesville as often as possible. I have not been able to take the family on the trains yet. They love to see the trains traveling the streets of St. Augustine and always ask to go. To ride them would bring them so much joy. We are a family of seven. Two adults one daughter and four train loving boys. Love the blog you always have great ideas. Tried the food truck rally based on your recommendation. The kids loved the bounce house, food, and playground. An event that I would not have tried on my own. Thanks.
